Interception
is used by girls who had unprotected sex – for whatever reason - and want to reduce
the risk of pregnancy.
If
you had intercourse
without using birth
control or if the condom
was torn, it’s not too late to prevent pregnancy: a girl does not become pregnant
until 5 days after having sex. Interception works after a girl has had sex, but
before she becomes pregnant.
There
are two ways to do it:
1. The morning-afterpil
2. An
emergency IUD
Interception
should not be used as a regular form of birth control. It’s an emergency measure.
